Woodwork and doors

Doors, frames, skirting boards and window frames sanded and painted, with a hard-wearing satin finish.

Woodwork takes knocks and hands: it gets a harder finish than walls. Old gloss is sanded to give the new paint a grip, then two coats of a water-based satin lacquer.

Good to know

Water-based lacquers dry quickly and do not yellow; doors can be closed again the same evening.
